The year is 2005, only two years since you were first trapped here by NeuroCom, a shady tech company from the early 2000s. "It was a mistake!" they claim. But it is too late. Thousands of, dubbed 'Neurochimps', are stuck now, in an abandoned laboratory, made to test early AI subjects, although gone wrong. Can you find a way out? Who knows? Maybe you will, maybe you won't.  Something always seemed off with Project SIMU, and maybe those 'slight hunches', were correct all along. SIMU.exe was always out of place compared to other test applications, an 'outcast' if you may. It was broken, something was wrong in the code, and now you are stuck.
